It took me like a week to figure out how I wanted this page. It doesn't look like much, but it's got a lot of thinking behind it.

This is the cover of Joanna's Story. I wanted to put the title on it like I will do with Socialism (okay, I have done, but it sucks so I'm not showing it yet). But I didn't want to take away from the picture, so just assume "Joanna's Story" is written on the imaginary spine of the "book."

I didn't think I would begin this so soon, I had hoped to be further with Socialism before revealing more about Joanna. But this is just what happened. I don't really have a plan, so I'm letting the creative tide take me wherever it takes me.

Joanna's Story, I think, is going to be more talkative, less visual, although the cover may suggest otherwise.
Anyway. I am excited.

This took me about five hours to draw. I think it's because I am using a bunch of new techniques and figuring out, you know, that whole 'lay~ers' concept in Photoshop. In case it's not already apparent, I am new at this.

Anyway, new character! More will be learned about him in the next story I am planning which will feature Joanna.




This is the song by the Gothsicles which sorta kinda inspired Socialism. I'd actually had the idea floating around in my head for some time to create a comic called Socialism and the One Second Ghost. Is it bad to start off with the title or should you begin with, uh, like, ideaz.

It's going to seem as if I'm doing all the non-narrative text in grey, but this is not so. It's just that we haven't had anything said that wasn't thought, narrative, or, now, memory. This will be the case for a little while.
